This was a very fun title to work on. I had the opportunity to fly out to LA to shoot Carsyn Rose's arm with Michael. We shot over green screen with a Blackmagic Pocket 6K. Carsyn held the pencil tip to the top of a C-stand and rotated her hand as if she was drawing. This gave us the resolution and static pencil tip to move her arm around and draw whatever we needed in the animation/compositing phase.

Some of the drawings are revealing illustrations made by the production's illustrator, some are created using Trapcode Particular, and some are made with Matrix Objects in C4D. And for some added fun, at our little shoot, Carsyn Rose drew some doodles in Procreate that made it into some of the shots.

The ending scene backgrounds were all created in C4D/Redshift.
